OCTOBER GOLD by ISABEL NEILL

First Line: I WADE THROUGH GOLDEN WATERS
Last Line: STORES OF OCTOBER GOLD.
Subject(s): OCTOBER;

I wade through golden waters,
I walk on golden sands,
While shining trees along the beach
Stretch out their gold-filled hands.

Midas himself might envy me:
I have the power to hold
Against bleak winter's penury
Stores of October gold.
