AN APRIL SEQUENCE: 2. TIDING by EDWARD JOSEPH HARRINGTON O'BRIEN

First Line: WHEN ALL THE TIDES OF APRIL
Last Line: AND WHITE, AND FAIR.
Subject(s): FLOWERS; SEA; SPRING; TIDES; OCEAN;

When all the tides of April
Are rising in the air,
And flowing grass and cloud
And sea are fair,

Light circles in the flower
And flesh and foam,
And body unto body
Now turns home,

While He whom, clad in colour
And dream and prayer,
Light heralds, rises naked,
And white, and fair.
