QUIETUS by LUNA CRAVEN OSBURN

First Line: I CANNOT EVER FEEL ALONE / OR LONELY, WHERE
Last Line: OF A DEEP WOOD.
Subject(s): TOUCH (SENSE);

I cannot ever feel alone
Or lonely, where in loveliness
Trees stand chastely virginal,
Naked; bared to delicate caress
Of sun and wind and moon
And velvet touch of night.

I cannot nurture bitterness
When after I have stood,
Soul-eased by silences
Of a deep wood.
