SEA-VOICES by ARTHUR PETERSON

First Line: DEAR MOTHER EARTH, FAREWELL! / FROM THIS SEQUESTERED SPOT
Last Line: DEAR MOTHER EARTH, FAREWELL!
Subject(s): EARTH; FAREWELL; WORLD; PARTING;

Dear mother earth, farewell!
From this sequestered spot,
From this Andean dell,
I go -- the wanderer's lot.
For through the ether fall
Voices my ear can tell;
The dark blue waters call;
Dear mother earth, farewell!

Dear mother earth, farewell!
The nymphs of ocean call,
A message they would tell,
Their arms about me fall.
I go -- the wanderer's lot,
From this Andean dell,
From this sequestered spot.
Dear mother earth, farewell!
