JUST TENNIS by WILLIAM A. PHELON

First Line: YOU LEAP AND TWIST, YOU SKIP AND FLOP
Last Line: AN AWFUL MARK AT TENNIS!
Subject(s): FAILURE; TENNIS;

YOU leap and twist, you skip and flop,
You bound and reach and wriggle,
And as you hear your raiment crack,
You hear the girlies giggle.
The perspiration floods your face,
Your hands and arms are cooking—
And as you struggle down the court,
A mocking world is looking!
You miss the ball incessantly—
Your name is changed to Dennis—
You realize that you are just
An awful mark at tennis!
