THEN-- by WILLIAM A. PHELON

First Line: WHEN ELEPHANTS ARE CRIMSON
Last Line: TO LET THE HOOCH ALONE!
Subject(s): ALCOHOLISM & ALCOHOLICS; DRINKS & DRINKING; WINE;

WHEN elephants are crimson,
And crocodiles are blue,
And lemon-hued orang-outangs
Smile down on me and you—
When kangeroos with full-dress suits
Sing with a melting tone,
It's then we know the time has come
To let the hooch alone!
