PEAR TREE IN MOONLIGHT by MERLE PRICE

First Line: PIERCED THROUGH WITH SILVER LANCE, TONIGHT I STAND
Last Line: ENTRANCED I BEAR THE SPLENDID AGONY.
Subject(s): PEAR TREES; TREES; PEARS;

Pierced through with silver lance, tonight I stand
Heart wounded with this beauty. My own hand
Will never pluck the moonshot arrow free ...
Entranced I bear the splendid agony.
