PUSSY-WILLOWS by RUTH CLAY PRICE

First Line: DAMP DEAD TREES, / DAMP DEAD LEAVES
Last Line: IS IN THE WILLOWS!
Subject(s): LEAVES; NATURE; SPRING; WILLOW TREES;

Damp dead trees,
damp dead leaves.

A faint pulsing fragrance,
a flicker of gray,
of green,
of yellow. ...

Damp dead skies,
damp dead earth,—

But Spring
is in the willows!
