DOWN HERE by RENE FRANCOIS ARMAND PRUDHOMME

First Line: DOWN HERE THE LILIES WITHER AWAY
Last Line: ALWAYS.
Subject(s): DREAMS; THOUGHT; TIME; NIGHTMARES; THINKING;

Down here the lilies wither away,
The songs of birds last but a day;
I dream of a summer that stays
Always.

Down here the lips lightly play
And ever are ready, ever gay;
I dream of a kiss that stays
Always.

Down here the men are leaden gray
For friend or loved one gone astray;
I dream of a couple that stays
Always.
