REDSTART by SARA V. PRUESER

First Line: YOU FLY WITH THE FIRE OF DAWN
Last Line: LIGHTING THEIR GREATEST REACH.
Subject(s): BIRDS; WINGS;

You fly with the fire of dawn
Igniting my garden shrubs,
But I see no ember or ash—
Only your flaming studs
Gleaming from maple and beech,
Only the flash that is drawn
Lighting their greatest reach.
