A THOUGHT by GERTRUDE REED

First Line: A LITTLE HERE, A LITTLE THERE
Last Line: WE REAP JUST WHAT WE SOW.

A little here, a little there,
Just gath'ring as we go,
And save each little scrap with care;
That's how kind thoughts will grow.

Don't mind the petty things of life,
They're not worth a useless sigh.
We're here for more than worldly strife;
Just laugh, and pass them by.

A kind deed may be a little thing,
But means so very much;
A little tune we sometimes sing
Oft gives a helpful touch.

Just march along, head up high,
Sow kindness as you go,
And life on airy wings will fly.
We reap just what we sow.
