THE FAILURE by NAOMI REYNOLDS

First Line: YOU NEVER THINK OF FOLLOWING ME
Last Line: TWELVE BLOCKS AWAY FROM MY SUCCESS.

You never think of following me
As far as Macaroni Row,
Where garlic scents the summer breeze,
And even grass forgets to grow.

And that is why you never see
Me radiant with the stickiness
Of small red kisses, no, you live
Twelve blocks away from my success.
