RELATIVITY by CALE YOUNG RICE

First Line: ONLY THIS AT LAST I SAY
Last Line: DISTANCE IS THE BREADTH OF THE SOUL.
Subject(s): BEAUTY; DESIRE; DREAMS; LIFE; NIGHTMARES;

Only this at last I say,
Beauty that seemed so near is far.
All men come to the end of day
And see, @3beyond,@1 the evening star.

Where I stand was once my goal;
Now my goal is the dream I see
Over the rim of the world; and so
Goal and desire shall ever be.

Shall I lament it? Only the dead
Reach a goal that is a goal.
Eyes were meant as wings for the mind;
Distance is the breadth of the soul.
