MEMORABILIA by LEXIE DEAN ROBERTSON

First Line: FIVE THINGS GLIMPSED UNEXPECTEDLY
Last Line: AND YOUR LOVE-AWAKENED EYES.
Subject(s): LOVE; MEMORY;

FIVE things glimpsed unexpectedly
Have filled my heart with singing gladness:
A sudden hillside lake of Texas bluebonnets;
A winding forest roadway in the golden haze
Of an autumnal sunset;
An ice-sheeted apple orchard,
Dazzling under a brilliant moon;
A slanting line of nile-washed turquoise sky
After an April shower;
And your love-awakened eyes.
