SOLACE by ROBERTA ROBERTSON

First Line: THROUGH SILVER RIFTS THE MOON'S CALM RADIANCE SLIPS
Last Line: GOD WILLS IT SO, MY LOVE, GOD WILLS IT SO!
Subject(s): GOD; MOON; NATURE - RELIGIOUS ASPECTS; SKY;

Through silver rifts the moon's calm radiance slips,
Upreaching pines are crystal crowned tonight,
Each snow-laced cloud ethereally trips—
Soft breathing prayers for comfort, cool and white.

Oh, at my window, desolate, I stand,
And watch the changeless stars in chaliced glow,
I know you are at peace in that fair land ...
God wills it so, my Love, God wills it so!
