RESURRECTION by ETHEL BLACKWELL ROBINSON

First Line: IN TIME GOD DECREES US A BOON OF SWEET REST
Last Line: FOR GOD-GIVEN VIGOR NE'ER DIES!
Subject(s): JESUS CHRIST; RESURRECTION, THE;

In time God decrees us a boon of sweet rest,
For earth's heavy labors are done.
In fireside warmth and in soul-healing peace
We're soothed, for a respite is won.

Contentment now reigns till our hour is fulfilled,
Vague longings are focussed in trust.
The tools that we wielded with vigor in youth
Are dulled and are covered with dust.

We wait, for the sunrise will bring us new light
New glory will shine in new skies.
New energy's coming, new powers, new tools, --
For God-given vigor ne'er dies!
