CONVERSATION by BENJAMIN ROSENBAUM

First Line: WAS THERE AN ARTHUR WHO LOOKING UP SAW A SLENDER WOMAN WITH A VOICE OF MUSIC?
Last Line: MERCY TO PATRICK! SO SHALL YOUR SOUL WHEN YOU DIE.

Was there an Arthur who looking up saw a slender woman with a voice of music?
@3What a question! What a question! You are he@1.

Did he have a sword Excalibor as steel-blue flame and sharper than the edges of
a gale?
@3Flame is thy blood, and keen thy mind@1.

It cannot be. Galahad was his knight who saw the grail.
@3Mercy to Patrick! So shall your soul when you die@1.
