THESE ARE by BENJAMIN ROSENBAUM

First Line: THESE ARE MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN WORDS
Last Line: A WOMAN'S EYELIDS OPENING FROM REST.
Subject(s): BEAUTY; CLOUDS; WOMEN;

These are more beautiful than words:
White clouds like sleds pushed down the curve of sky;
Wind-tossing of a thousand birds;
And steady flights of geese without a cry.

These are more beautiful than song:
A woman's body; the sharp are of breasts;
A woman's hands, patient so long;
A woman's eyelids opening from rest.
