SPRING FASHION-NOTE by MYNA A. RUSSELL

First Line: THERE WAS DELICATE LAUGHTER
Last Line: THE WARMEST DAY IN SPRING!
Subject(s): GLOVES; SPRING; MITTENS; MUFFS;

There was delicate laughter
From the trees by the meadow stream,
And on the clear-faced water
A mischievous answering gleam,
For the timid, frost-fearing willow
Did a ridiculous thing, --
She wore her gray fur mittens
The warmest day in spring!
