DUALITY by EMMA THOMAS SCOVILLE

First Line: WHILE FEET PLOD DOWN DIM PATHS OF EARTH
Last Line: CLAY-BOUND, BUT DESTINED TO ARISE.
Subject(s): HUMANITY; MORTALITY; SOUL;

While feet plod down dim paths of earth,
The soul is striving for the skies—
A spark divine with mortal birth,
Clay-bound, but destined to arise.
