QUATRAIN: NOW TO LAMPOON MYSELF FOR MY PRESUMPTION by THOMAS SHERIDAN (1687-1738)

First Line: YOUR VERSES, DOCTOR, CRAWL ON GOUTY FEET
Last Line: LIKE THE FIRST CHAOS 'TIS COMPLETELY MUD.

Your verses, Doctor, crawl on gouty feet;
You've made those waters bitter which were sweet;
Your chaos we must grant is truly good;
Like the first chaos 'tis completely mud.
