A SONG IN SEASON by FREDERIC FAIRCHILD SHERMAN

First Line: THE MADCAP SPRING CAME YESTERDAY
Last Line: GRIEF, REAPPEARS.
Subject(s): SEASONS;

The madcap Spring came yesterday,
And Winter died;
Happy at last, he passed away,
She at his side.

Now night and day the wayward child
Is drowned in tears
Till Summer, wakened by her wild
Grief, reappears.
