FANCY by FREDERIC FAIRCHILD SHERMAN

First Line: A FORM OF MIST BY SUNLIGHT KISSED
Last Line: HALF GLIMPSED, HALF UNDERSTOOD.

A form of mist by sunlight kissed
Borne by the wind along;
Such is the dream which like a gleam
Shines in the poet's song.

What is the thought by fancy wrought
In love's fantastic mood?
Ever anon it comes -- is gone
Half glimpsed, half understood.
