MESSAGE FROM ONE ENAMOURED by ROYALL HENDERSON SNOW

First Line: PERHAPS I SHALL FORGET YOUR FACE
Last Line: MY HEART HOW MUSICALLY YOUR LIPS COULD SPEAK.
Subject(s): HEARTS; LOVE; MEMORY;

PERHAPS I shall forget your face
When I have found some secret pool
The cool trees trace with shadow;
And when a lithe wind's easy grace
Makes amorous the willows
Perhaps the star-bell music of your voice
Will cease to echo in my ears.

But far more likely I shall find
It is the thought of you makes sweet
My reveries in this retreat
Where there will be a whisper in the air that will remind
My heart how musically your lips could speak.
