Clouds gather, lightning flashes, Thunder rolls in the west; A raindrop on the window splashes -- Lo! the world with rain is blessed. Meadows soon begin to change From brown to a verdant hue; Animals gambol on the range, As life begins anew. Flowers bloom again once more In country lanes and nooks; Crickets chirp on the kitchen floor, And frogs croak by the brooks.
