THE FLIRT by MAY WILLIAMS WARD

First Line: AS THE PLAY APPROACHES ITS CLIMAX
Last Line: ON THE OTHER SIDE OF HIM.
Subject(s): FLIRTATION; MOTION PICTURES; MOVIES; CINEMA;

As the play approaches its climax
The stranger sitting next me
Reached for my hand and pressed it,
Do you suppose it vexed me?
Oh, no! In the dark, my hand pressed back
And we snuggled up close. You see,
The age of the bold bad stranger
Was just about half-past three,
And the villain was very noisy
And the lights were very dim.
I think he forgot that his mother sat
On the OTHER side of him.
