REPRESSION by HELEN FIELD WATSON

First Line: YOU SAID I COULD NOT COUNT THE STARS
Last Line: IMMENSITY?
Subject(s): YOUTH;

You said I could not count the stars—
I know it now.
You would not help build castles then,
Nor tell me how.

Oh! middle age was time enough
For me to see!
Why deaden youth's desire to search
Immensity?
