THERE have been gorgeous moments, hours and days, Dogs by creek waters romping, trees and a rose; Music in light where the delphinium grows And bees make audible the summer haze. Wanton adventurings in unknown ways Of hill and sea, passions of fresh repose 'Mid raptures where devouring eyes ne'er close And no lips move except to laugh or praise.
