AD ASTRA: 100 by CHARLES WHITWORTH WYNNE

First Line: WE DOUBT OF LIFE-FOR WHO CAN HOPE TO STAND
Last Line: HEEDS HE THE MANY VIGILS OF OUR WAY?
Subject(s): LIFE; PAST;

We doubt of life—for who can hope to stand
In faint remembrance mid the drifts of Time?
We are but units in an unit land,
With scarce the cadence of a passing chime,
And shall the Great Unseen with power sublime
Review the labour of our little day?
Heeds He the many vigils of our way?
