AD ASTRA: 175 by CHARLES WHITWORTH WYNNE

First Line: LO, TOO, THAT CITY OF GOD IN THE CRIMSON EAST!
Last Line: THE CHEERFUL OFFERINGS THAT GOD LOVETH BEST.
Subject(s): GOD; WORSHIP;

Lo, too, that City of God in the crimson East!
The sunrise gilding minaret and tower,
The myriad worshippers, the solemn feast,
When Ganges claims his matutinal dower,
And man and maid their rich libations pour,
Scattering upon the river's ample breast
The cheerful offerings that God loveth best.
