AD ASTRA: 41 by CHARLES WHITWORTH WYNNE

First Line: WHAT HOPE HAVE I, IF LOVE LIGHT NOT THE WAY?
Last Line: I GAVE—AND SCORN REMEMBRANCE OF THE PAST!
Subject(s): MEMORY;

'What hope have I, if Love light not the way?
O whither should my weary footsteps bend?
How few there are to whom a man may say
All that he feels, as fellow unto friend!
How little may the mask of smiles portend!
"Give of thy best, give even unto thy last"—
I gave—and scorn remembrance of the past!
