AD ASTRA: 51 by CHARLES WHITWORTH WYNNE

First Line: BLOOMS THERE FOR ME A WHITE AND PETAL'D FLOWER
Last Line: I DARE NOT GO BEYOND THEIR MUTE CONTROL.
Subject(s): FLOWERS; LOVE;

'Blooms there for me a white and petal'd flower
Wherein my soul might fold its wings and rest?
Heart-weariness doth hold me every hour,
I cannot quell the tumult of my breast!
Yet in the silence stands thy love confest—
I feel thy winnowing wings about my soul,
I dare not go beyond their mute control.
