THE SKAITH OF GUILLARDUN: 80 by CHARLES WHITWORTH WYNNE

First Line: O THOU WHO FASHION'D HER SO BEAUTIFUL
Last Line: SAVE, LORD, I MAY NOT—TILL THOU CLEANSEST ME.
Subject(s): ABSENCE; DEATH; LOVE - LOSS OF; SEPARATION; ISOLATION; DEAD, THE;

'O Thou who fashion'd her so beautiful,
Forgive the hapless love that wrought her doom!
How could my soul its questing impulse rule
Before a flower of such ethereal bloom!
Thou, only Thou, canst my dark fault annul,
Thou only canst speak comfort from the tomb!
For where she is there also would I be,
Save, Lord, I may not—till Thou cleansest me.
