First Line: Hark! I hear the bugle sounding
Last Line: In this time of prayer.

Hark! I hear the bugle sounding
And the tramp of many feet.
'Tis the time for prayer.
Onward, onward, troops are wending, --
Onward unto prayer.
Soon the comrades will be passing
At this time of prayer, --
Comrades who fought and won the battle,
Now 'tis time for prayer.
See, the honored flag is passing,
Glory in their victory blest
In this time of prayer.
