THIS LIFE OF OURS, by
First Line: What's all the clatter and chatter?
Last Line: But beauty is part of life's dream.
Subject(s): Life

What's all the clatter and chatter?
Life's but a breath and a dream;
What's all the fuss and the matter?
We're bound to go with the stream;
Life is the current that bears us,
Flotsam and jetsam are we,
Tossed by the passions that tear us,
Torn by the sorrows that be;
Only the hope of an ending,
Bright as the stars for each one;
Only the joy we are lending,
Lightens our hearts with the sun.
Life is the current that bears us,
Each with our ship in the stream,
Passions and sorrows may tear us,
But beauty is part of Life's dream.
