BLIND, by
First Line: Never again shall the light of the dawn
Last Line: Piercing the gloom and dispelling the mist.

Never again shall the light of the dawn
Startle my eyes as it dapples the lawn,

Nor sunset, enfolding its wings for the night;
Yet only my eyes have been lost to the light.

Hearing soft music my senses are still,
Caught in the fragrance of blossoms that thrill.

Pulses may quicken in hearing the rain,
Slanting the distance to my window pane.

Cool wind can lighten and freshen my soul,
Giving me vision to seek a new goal.

Childlike I learn all my lessons anew,
Either by touch or the guidance of you.

Knowledge may come from all things that exist,
Piercing the gloom and dispelling the mist.
