The holly glows. The snow flakes fall; The balsam towers straight and tall; With tinsel streamers, crescent lights All twined with mingled greens and whites Hang thick with many a rainbowed ball. In memory of the Wise Men's call, The light appeared and pierced the pall. For shepherds watching in the heights The holly glows. The Christ Child in a tiny stall, The cattle huddled near the wall Are circled on all Christmas nights By one great star with mystic lights: And like a ruby over all The holly glows. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...DIFFERENT VIEWS; A CHRISMAS DUET by JOSEPH ASHBY-STERRY AN UNMERRY CHRISTMAS by AMBROSE BIERCE CHRISTMAS IN CHINATOWN by AUGUST KLEINZAHLER CHRISTMAS TREE by JOHN FREDERICK NIMS ISAIAH'S COAL by JOHN FREDERICK NIMS SOUNDS OF THE RESURRECTED DEAD MAN'S FOOTSTEPS (#3): 1.
