AN OX PAST SERVICE by ADDAEUS

First Line: WITH WEIGHT OF YEARS AND YOKE FORSPENT
Last Line: TO GRAZE AND REST AND LOW.
Subject(s): ANIMALS; OXEN;

WITH weight of years and yoke forspent,
To no grim slaughter-house was sent
The ox from Alcon's plough.
His grateful master gives him ease
At liberty in grassy leas
To graze and rest and low.
