Life comes to us from God each day, A thing of beauty, joy and peace; For love divine knows all our needs And to each one doth give release. Oh, that we could but comprehend The glory of that unseen power; Which works with such unerring skill, Its creature's utmost wants to fill. And that those wants when pure and true, Were meant to bring us nearer Him; That in fulfillment we might share A loving Father's pride and care. That for his pleasure we were made, To have a part in His great plan. He'll give to us in life's sure way, The help and strength, for which we pray. And thus the daily round of life Becomes transformed, a radiant joy; Our part in life to us he's shown, No longer need we walk alone. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...WALT WHITMAN by FRANCIS HOWARD WILLIAMS THREE PASTORAL ELEGIES: TO THE READER (2) by WILLIAM BASSE THE PASSING YEAR by MATHILDE BLIND VILLANELLE OF THINGS AMUSING by FRANK GELETT BURGESS FOURTH BOOK OF AIRS: SONG 4 by THOMAS CAMPION HOW CAME THE HOLLY BERRIES RED? by CHARLES W.
