WINTER by ALICE CARSON

First Line: WIND OVER ICE, SNOW ACROSS SNOW
Last Line: WHO HAVE FIRES BY DAY AND COVERS AT NIGHT!
Subject(s): WINTER;

Wind over ice, snow across snow,
Old Hag Winter's breath doth blow.

Wretched and foul and bitterly cold,
Winter's a tale by a harlot told.

Some think it gay and blue and bright
Who have fires by day and covers at night!
