Relentless Mars, indulging insane wrath,
Trampling on babes and mothers in his path,
Unbridled all the Passions of the world
And o'er the host, the flag of Death unfurled;
Then, to astound with deeds the pure abhor,
Unleashed the Lusts of men, and called it—WAR!
