A RECIPE by NORMAN ROWLAND GALE

First Line: TAKE A PINCH OF DEMI-GOD AND HALF AN OUNCE
Last Line: WITH APPETITES LIKE HARPIES, AND THERE YOU HAVE HIM—MAN!
Subject(s): MORTALITY;

TAKE a pinch of demi-god and half an ounce of gnome,
Mix with flesh and blood and nerves as closely as you can;
Add a shred or two of sky, a clod or two of loam,
With appetites like harpies, and there you have him—MAN!
