THE RETURN OF THE FAIRY: 12. THE GARDEN by HUMBERT WOLFE

First Line: SHE HAD OTHER STRANGE HABITS, / E.G. PARAFFIN
Last Line: ALL OVER THE PLACE.
Subject(s): FAIRIES; ELVES;

SHE had other strange habits,
@3e.g.@1 paraffin,
which she used for her rabbits
without and within.
And the hens had a groom for
their feathers and legs,
till the day hadn't room for
the laying of eggs.
And she kept an old linnet
to act as the gardener,
who went about hobblin'
and said life was hard on 'er,
because she objected
to having her face
and her wings disinfected
all over the place.
