First Line: Say 'god,' say 'lord of all'
Last Line: To learn thy will and to obey.
Subject(s): God; Islam

Al-Muhizz! by this title celebrate
The "Honorer" whose favor maketh great.

Say "God," say "Lord of all!
Kingdoms and kings Thou makest and unmakest,
This one Thou takest, that one Thou forsakest;
Alike are great and small;
Into Thy hand they fall."

"In Thy dread hand they rest;
Their nights and days, their waking and their sleeping,
Their birth, and life, and death lie in Thy keeping;
'Be thus' to each Thou say'st,
And thus to be is best,

"Though it seem good or ill.
Islâm!—to Thee our souls we do resign,
Turning our faces to the blessèd shrine;
Seeking no honor still
Save from Thy will."

Al-Muhizz! only this we pray
To learn Thy will and to obey.
