DAY IS DONE, by
First Line: The day is done; the twilight shadows fall
Last Line: And watch its shadows fall, content, as I do now.
Subject(s): Contentment

The day is done; the twilight shadows fall
Across the way, as night comes creeping on.
I sit before the fire and watch the embers die
Content with the way I spent the passing hours.

Life passes on: the swiftly fleeting days
Compel a pause, as life's sunset glow appears;
I only hope that I may see the end approach

And watch its shadows fall, content, as I do now.
