First Line: Clouds titanic, masters of the hills
Last Line: And titan shadows move along the wind!
Subject(s): Change; Clouds

CLOUDS Titanic, masters of the hills,
Mountainous in grandeur, unconfined,
This morning, ere the sun rose and the wind,
Ye were but water-drops in earthen rills;
Footless ye were, and bound in flower and grass,
The narrow confines of a leaf could hold
Yon vapour striving unto heights untold,
Rising above each mantled peak and pass.

Ah, spirit, spirit, water-drop confined
In tiny realm of purposes and will,
So with the sun, thy vapours rise and fill
And Titan shadows move along the wind!
