LOST GEESE, by RUTH ROWLETT CHURCH First Line: The honking geese in piteous plight Last Line: In one safe flight to your destined end. Subject(s): Geese | ||||||||
The honking geese in piteous plight Pealed forth their fears through fog-filled night; And circling through the darkened gloom Confused and worried -- facing doom. For naught hath man the power to guide Them by the light-filled city's side. I pray God lead you, feathered friend, In one safe flight to your destined end. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...WALKING THE GEESE HOME by JUDY JORDAN THE GIGGLING GAGGLING GAGGLE OF GEESE by JACK PRELUTSKY PREDICTIONS ABOUT A BLACK CAR by MARK WUNDERLICH THE SELVEGE by LINDA GREGERSON INDIVIDUALITY by RUTH ROWLETT CHURCH I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH A REAL HARD TIME BEFORE' by HAYDEN CARRUTH |
