I need you dear, you know I do.
I think of you the whole day through.
I need you, need you so, dear heart,
And I would always do my part;
My silent longing sends to you
The hope that you will need me too.
Long since my heart to you was lost.
Your love I'd win whate'er the cost,
Because the love I give to you,
My dear, is loyal, firm, and true.
