DOUBT, by ISABEL M. FLEMING First Line: You vowed you cared / I did not think to Last Line: Seeds of doubt! Subject(s): Doubt; Skepticism | ||||||||
You vowed you cared -- I did not think to doubt you; I know not then, that doubt from Grief is born. You left without one word of parting, Alone, I greet the dawn of each new morn. I do not ask nor wish for your returning. I've found "with every rose Is plucked the thorn." We meet -- we love -- we part And sometimes we remember; But in my heart you've sown the Seeds of doubt! | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...BIRTH-DUES by ROBINSON JEFFERS SECOND NOETIC HYMN by ROBERT KELLY WALLACE STEVENS' LETTERS by ROBERT BLY |
