SONG, by MABEL B. FREDERICK First Line: Sing ho for a garden Last Line: Is a mirror for you. Subject(s): Flowers; Gardens & Gardening; Roses; Singing & Singers; Songs | ||||||||
Sing ho for a garden An old-fashioned garden, A garden of roses And lilacs, and rue; With nobody in it Save you and a linnet, And a fairy to spin it A necklace of dew. Sing ho for a meadow, A silver-green meadow, With lush grasses shielding Its bird-tenants few; Where drowsy wings quiver, And slow runs the river, And the face of the river Is a mirror for you. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE APOLLO TRIO by CONRAD AIKEN BAD GIRL SINGING by MARK JARMAN CHAMBER MUSIC: 4 by JAMES JOYCE CHAMBER MUSIC: 5 by JAMES JOYCE CHAMBER MUSIC: 28 by JAMES JOYCE THE SONG OF THE NIGHTINGALE IS LIKE THE SCENT OF SYRINGA by MINA LOY |
